I am an emerging contemporary painter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I graduated with a BA from Edinburgh College of Art in 2016. My most recent paintings focus on nature and the way people connect with nature in our modern world. My images are based on everyday experiences but in the process of painting they often change to become more other-worldly or dreamlike reflecting an uncertainty about what the future may hold for us and the environment. I work mostly in acrylic and/or water-miscible oil paint, but also create mixed media drawings on paper. I love colour and the fluidity of paint, and trying to capture the richness of life in painted texture and marks. I have exhibited and sold my work regularly in Edinburgh, and my work is also available worldwide from www.saatchiart.com, and also in Glasgow from ArtPistol Gallery (see www.artpistol.co.uk). I have a forthcoming solo exhibition at McNaughton’s Bookshop & Gallery, Edinburgh, in October 2017.
