In my work I frequently focus on natural scenes and cycles, stilling into focus things so often missed – the play of light softening an otherwise solid object, the anticipated perfect moment of a bloom, the space between a bird’s flight and fall. I like to capture moments with the oil paint. And then enjoy the beauty of moments captured as well as the melancholy of inevitable loss and essence of human existence.
