I have been painting for most of my life and over a number of years attended various summer schools and part time courses on painting and drawing at Glasgow School of Art and Strathclyde University. I began exhibiting and selling my work a few years ago and now have work in private collections across Scotland and in Cumbria, London, Brussels, Los Angeles and New Zealand.
My lifelong love of gardens and gardening inspired a recent series of lively and colourful works that aim to capture the vivacity and vibrancy of flowers. I use a variety of media to complete these semi-abstract paintings, mostly watercolours, inks and acrylics. These floral works are a celebration of the joy that flowers can bring.
