Principal Teacher, Art in Kelso High School until retirement in 2008.
Professional Member of Visual Arts Scotland since 2006.
I live and paint in the Borders village of Yetholm and my paintings relate mostly to the local landscape. Weather, atmosphere and the effect of changing light on the mood of my subject matter are of great interest to me.
I use a water based under painting then work and rework the painting with glazes of colour until the image becomes established.
