The movement of the human figure portrayed within a powerful atmospheric context is the main focus of my artwork. Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2011 with a Masters degree in Fine Art, my knowledge of art history has been a constant source of reference and is embedded in the subject matter and style of much of my work. My figures are depicted not in a traditional way, but in a semi-abstract form characterised by line, shape, and harmonious tones and textures. Although my main focus is painting and drawing, I enjoy designing digital images, and have recently been experimenting with printmaking.
