My first artistic career was as a ceramic artist which came to an end when I developed an allergy. The unpredictability of glaze reactions, which I used to relish, has had an influence on my painting methods.
I have been painting semi professionally for ten years. Design is an important element in my work, and being a keen gardener, I am attracted to flowers and leaves and the way they combine to make patterns.
