Young, Diane

Diane works as a full time artist from her studio near Edinburgh. Her work is inspired by everyday moments in time. Much of her inspiration comes from the world around us – local architecture, and the patterns, forms, and colour of the natural world. She uses a combination of scalpel cut watercolour paper, acrylics, ink, printing, mixed media, steel and perspex to create unique 3D works. Her unique style has proved popular, having had a number of sell-out exhibitions. She is a regular exhibitor at the open exhibitions of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, the Paisley Art Institute, and the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Her work can be seen in selected galleries throughout Scotland.
