I live and work in Edinburgh as an artist. Since I was young I have had commissions through friends, family and word of mouth. Over the last few years I have decided to pursue my childhood dream to become a successful artist. Painting is my way of expressing myself and it makes me feel alive. I feel I am on some sort of spiritual journey as I try and dig into my soul to create something that I feel inside onto canvas. I try and convey this by surprising myself with the material and pushing it beyond my expectations. I am too aware of my urge to be painting as light, nature and mood always inspire me and I am always eager to capture the spirit, feeling and expression of my subject. I enjoy finding new ways of trying to express myself through the materials and the challenge and satisfaction of making better work.
