Brought up in Ayrshire, Sheena gained her Diploma at Edinburgh College of Art. She was craftsman in residence in Linlithgow then worked as a furniture designer until she decided to return to painting with a move to Haddington. She likes to prepare sketches and paintings on site. Her work has been described as ‘atmospheric and evocative’ often showing the effect of light on water and land and also the juxtopositaion of new and old city buildings. She shows regularly in Royal Scottish Society of Watercolours exhibitions.Her work has been accepted by the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, Aberdeen Artists Society and The Discerning Eye, London. She has been commissioned by councils and many firms and individuals in Britain and abroad.
