Amanda was an architect for many years and also taught at both Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Napier University in the schools of design and fine art. She is now a full time professional painter and exhibits throughout Scotland. In her spare time she write poetry. The painting submitted for the Macmillan Art Show is of a waterfall at the artist’s house which runs from the mill race by the old mill.
