I was born in the Netherlands and studied architecture at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen. I have lived in North Berwick for over twenty years. I have always drawn and painted, fitting it around employment and other interests, which are mainly gardening related. I find the views of the sea, the sky and the coast particularly inspiring, as well as the natural forms of plants, whilst my architectural training means I also find inspiration in the built environment. I work in a variety of media, but currently mainly acrylics, pen & ink, or mixed media/collage.
