Morag Neave studied Printed Textile Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Scotland. Originally from central Scotland, she graduated in 1988 in Dundee before moving to Edinburgh to embark upon a career in senior school teaching. The predominant medium Morag uses is acrylic paint; however she often combines mixed media, text and photography in her work. She seldom uses a paintbrush, preferring to work in layers with rollers, knives and collage. Her work is often based on dynamic patterns in both nature and society, but landscape is often to the fore and she often returns to Lanarkshire for inspiration. Over the past few months Morag has been experimenting with oil painting and still life.
