Whilst studying a degree in Interior Design at Edinburgh College of Art I discovered printmaking. I took it as a second subject which allowed me to learn the techniques and experiment with style. After graduating I became a member at Edinburgh Printmakers where for the last 15 years I have been developing my skills in screenprinting and etching. My particular interest is in Scottish and French landscapes incorporating dramatic skies and trees. I am currently expanding my skills and have returned to photo etching which allows me to convert sketchbook work into etchings. This is mainly floral sketches which allow me to play around with more abstract compositions and colour.
