I’m a Scottish artist based in Edinburgh’s historic New Town. My relationship with art began pretty much from childhood and has continued to bring the pleasure as well as the angst that many other artists will identify with too. Hours at my easel are the essence of who I am and a necessary life breath to celebrate the good and to work through the challenges that life presents. It is a way for me to understand myself better. Years of travelling life living in foreign lands, from the Middle East to deepest Africa and the sights, sounds and scents have allowed me to explore and share my work with a wide and varied audience. My paintings hang in collections in The Sultanate of Oman, United States of America, Singapore, Australia, South Africa, India and West Africa as well as the United Kingdom, including my home town of Edinburgh.
