Eleanor Adair is a Scottish figurative artist who was born and grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and has exhibited internationally including London, Paris and the US. Her work is concerned with self-consciousness and identity and tries to capture the constant shifts between the physical and emotional expressions of human form. She has recently drawn on neolithic and paleolithic archaeology for inspiration and this connection to the prehistoric past has influenced many of her works. She currently lives and works in Edinburgh and has no formal training.
