I am inspired by light, the way it changes the landscape day by day, hour by hour. I paint what excites me, what stops me in my tracks. I strive to capture those fleeting moments of magical light. I am motivated by the places I visit. The subjects I choose to paint are often the result of my travels, whether here in the UK or abroad.
My paintings give back so much to me, more than a photograph ever could. Memories of the places I visit, people I meet and friends I make. I like creating art for the pleasure it shares.
I exhibit regularly in several prestigious exhibitions as well as smaller group shows locally. My first solo show takes place in the Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Gallery from mid-October 2018. I tutor art workshops both in the UK and overseas plus write regular articles for national art magazines.
