I live in Wester Ross, where I draw inspiration from the sea and the hills. I like to be out-of-doors walking and sketching in all weathers, and I work mostly in charcoal, ink, and acrylic. As well as painting landscape scenes, I make prints – etchings, aquatints and linocuts. I spent my early years in Fife, then lived in Edinburgh, and now I live in Lochcarron.
I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, worked for a number of years as a town planner, and also completed a few courses at Leith School of Art. I’ve had work in RSA Open, RSW Open, VAS Open, and Scottish Drawing Competition.
