I explore the links between construction and destruction and create order from a chaotic starting point. I am inspired by the neglected landscape, and the challenge for me is to simplify the shapes I see in order to achieve a composition in which all the parts belong to the whole. Construction sites, old and derelict buildings and other mundane aspects of city life in different parts of the world provide me with rich material.
