Carol Barrett

After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, I followed my creative passion for the natural world by becoming the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Artist in Residence and travelling to Africa to sketch and paint out in the field and gain a greater understanding of my chosen subject. I have continued to be one of The Cheetah Conservation Fund’s artists, since I was invited to paint their rescued cheetah and be a volunteer, at their Headquarters in Namibia
I have been a Wildlife artist and committed conservationist for over 30 years.

I have gained commissions from here and abroad as well as exhibiting with The Wildlife Art Society International, and The David Shepherd’s Wildlife Artist of the Year. I have enjoyed solo and joint wildlife exhibitions with RZSS, Nature in Art and The Scottish Ornithologist’s Club.
I am based at the old Dovecot Studio, in Corstorphine, Edinburgh.
